Our Starting Point

This letter marks the beginning of our efforts to explore a path forward for Christian education in our community.

As plans continue to develop, additional updates and information will be shared throughout this site.

Dear Parents, Students, and Teachers

The recent news of our local Christian school’s closure has brought understandable sadness, uncertainty, and many questions. For years, that school served families in our community, and we are grateful for the many ways God used it to educate students, encourage families, and proclaim Christ. We honor the elders, teachers, staff, volunteers, parents, and students whose faithful efforts contributed to its legacy.

At the same time, we recognize that many families are now facing immediate concerns about their children’s education. Questions about where students will attend school, who will teach them, and what Christian education will look like next year cannot wait indefinitely.

Because of this need, we want to assure you that Grace Chapel is committed to helping provide an immediate path forward.

Our church has facilities available that can be used to support Christian education during this transition. We have classroom space, gathering areas, and resources that can help meet the immediate needs of students and families while a longer-term plan is developed. While many details still need to be finalized, families should know that there is a viable transitional solution available, and we are actively working toward making it a reality.

Over the past two days, church leaders, parents, teachers, and other supporters have already begun talking, praying, and planning together. Our goal is not simply to react to a difficult situation but to respond thoughtfully, faithfully, and responsibly. We believe Christian education is too important to abandon, and we believe the Lord may be opening a door for a new season of ministry.

We are currently evaluating what it would look like to provide a transitional Christian school environment in our facilities while also exploring the development of a strong, sustainable classical Christian school for the future. We are speaking with educators, assessing needs, considering budgets, reviewing policies, and seeking wise counsel so that any plan we pursue is built on a solid foundation.

We want to be transparent: not every detail has been determined. However, we can confidently say that families will not be left without options. There are people working diligently on your behalf. There are teachers, parents, church leaders, and community members who are

committed to finding a way forward together.

Most importantly, there are many people praying. We are asking the Lord to provide wisdom, unity, provision, and peace. We are praying for students who are experiencing change, for parents carrying new burdens, and for teachers considering what comes next. We trust that the Lord who has faithfully cared for His people in the past will continue to do so in the days ahead.

In the coming days, we will communicate additional details, gather information from interested families, and host informational meetings to discuss next steps. If your family is interested in learning more about the transitional school opportunity or potential future plans, we encourage you to reach out so we can keep you informed.

While this season has brought unexpected challenges, we are hopeful. God has not been surprised by these events, and we believe He will faithfully guide us as we seek to serve families and continue the important work of Christian education.

Thank you for your prayers, patience, and trust.

We will schedule a parent and interest meeting soon. Feel free to respond, and we will let you know everything we can as we move along.

In Christ, by His grace, for His glory! “And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19
